The ImmigranNZ Collective, Musicians, music band/collective. Their Arts Journey

The Immigrannz Collective is a multicultural band based in Nelson, Aotearoa, bringing a vibrant mix of Rock, Cumbia, Reggae, Jazz, Pop and World music—in both Spanish and English. Born from a chance meetup at an open mic, the group quickly grew into a cross-cultural crew of musicians from different backgrounds. We will turn one year together from our official first gig in September this year.

Our sound is a high-energy fusion of latin rhythms, funky grooves, and jazzy vibes designed to make you move. Expect a mix of originals and covers spiced up with djembe, saxo, bass, guitars, plus plenty of percussion.

More than just a band, we want to create an open space—a community, where other musicians are welcome to collaborate, jam and connect.

What drives us is connection: the joy of making people dance, the shared energy, and the cultural exchange that happens through music. We invite you to catch a live show, join a jam or reach out to collaborate—everyone’s welcome in the rhythm.
