About the event
“...The only precious things they keep
are memories of days they spent
on golden coasts with turquoise seas
or viewing snow-enamelled peaks;
tangled up in bed;
or simply playing with their children
or dining out with friends.: - Jewellery by Robert Melliard
You are warmly invited for an evening where we will share stories of our sentimental jewellery. The jewellery which keeps memories of people who we loved, places which we visited or moments which we would never want to forget. The priceless jewellery which has a deep meaning in our hearts and a beautiful history in our life. Please bring your sentimental jewellery and tell us a hidden story of your treasure.
The event will be hosted by Karolina Gorton, a local artist and illustrator, who is going to collect all stories and take photos of all pieces of sentimental jewellery, then she will create an illustration inspired on all stories, a landscape of our sentimental treasure.
There will be an option to display your sentimental jewellery with your story at Cultural Conversations during Nelson Jewellery Week, 13 - 23 April. Please send us an email if you are interested to be part of this display by the 6th of March. To find more information contact: tanya@culturalconversations.co.nz
