About the event
Have fun creating a unique floral brooch using textile knotting techniques. Working with beautifully colored hemp cord, you will learn to knot a pile into a plastic canvas support structure.
Through the process, participants will build and refine color selection skills and gain confidence in handling multiple fiber lengths to form secure knots. Prefabricated brooch pins will be provided, and students will be guided on how to stitch these into the pile.
This workshop will help participants develop fine motor and needlework skills using these materials and techniques.
All skill levels are welcome, and no prior jewelry-making experience is necessary.
Ticket price includes $20 of materials.
Students need to bring: Small sharp scissors, Permanent marker - black medium or fine tip, Small ruler Cutting mat (max size 45 x 30cm approx)1 or 2 small/medium rubber bandsThe work is detailed and fine so good eyesight is crucial for a satisfying result.…
