The Forgotten Sounds project is a collaborative art project that aims to combine art, music, and nature on Earth Day!
Time & Location
22 Apr 2023, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Cultural Converations, Morrison Square, Nelson
About the event
The artwork (anthotypes) is created using photosensitive material from plants. Letters are hidden in tiny pods in various locations, with coordinates and clues posted on heart4earth.com. When people find the pods, they are encouraged to stop and listen to appreciate the sounds of nature. Feedback collected from the experience will be part of the complete project and participants are gifted an anthotype. On April 22nd, Earth Day, there will be an event at the Cultural Conversations Hub in Nelson where the artist (Ana Solo) will demonstrate how to create anthotypes and hand over the artwork to the project participants. There will also be music and poetry at the final event.
