About the event

The Podcast exhibition is an examination of what builds community and a celebration of the cultural diversity that exists within our region.

NBS Bittersweet stories carry powerful messages around building resilience, making meaningful connections through the sharing of stories and celebrating people who are overcoming trauma within a supportive and accepting community.

Stories of Otherness brings a strong message of what contributes to feeling ‘othered’ through the lived experience of four people, and reminds us that the goal of TDC is that every member of our community is important and valued and racism and bigotry should never be tolerated.

The exhibition will contain a series of portraits and reading material about each storyteller. You are welcome to listen to the podcasts using a library chrome cast or download the QR code in the comfort of your own time and location.

Sharing these stories is a way in which the wider community can connect with and learn from lived experience and celebrate the diversity of Te Tau Ihu. Thanks to Tasman District Council for the support.
