Madame Lama

My name is Gabi Melo. I am a mother from Brazil, living in Nelson/NZ for 3 years now. Through ceramics my artistic soul both travels and gets grounded. I’ve been working with it, addicted truly, for over 6 years. I love getting hands dirty with clay. That reminds me of my best childhood days. I teach kids class at Nelson Community Potters. My work has been kiwi exhibited at The Suter Art Gallery and the Nelson Saturday Market. It’s an honour to be part of Cultural Conversations family, a place where respect and diversity truly exist.
