My name is Aunouska Myer. I grew up in London and have been a midwife since 2005. I am trained in New Zealand and am currently based in Nelson. I also spent five years in Samoa with my husband, Brad, and our two daughters, Avalon and Imogen, where I supported women during childbirth. Since returning to Nelson in 2023 as a community midwife, I am deeply passionate about providing care and support to women and families in our community, primarily in the Nelson area, including Atawhai and Richmond. In my role, I focus on supporting women throughout their birth journey by working closely with each individual to provide care tailored to their unique needs. I collaborate with a team of skilled and compassionate community midwives, including Jackie Harte and Natalie Archibald. Together, we prioritize open communication to ensure a safe and nurturing experience during the antenatal, birthing, and postnatal stages, whether at home or in the hospital. I aim to empower families to engage in their well-being and birth experience, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
