Opening hours - Monday to Saturday 9am to 7pm Sunday 10am to 4pm Description - Indian, Sri Lankan, Nepalese & Fiji Grocery store I have been residing in Nelson since 2016, while my husband has been here since 2013. I relocated to Nelson following our marriage. Over the years, I have worked at various places in Nelson. However, after the birth of our daughter, managing ever-changing day and evening shifts became challenging. Then me & my husband decided to get something I could handle while balancing my time with our daughter. Initially, we bought a taxi and I drove it for 2-3 years to accommodate my daughter's schedule. But it was not something I wanted for long term. We were thinking of starting or buying a retail or wholesale business. We tried a few but it didn't work out and then this grocery store came on market. This being the only store in Nelson with full range of Indian subcontinent groceries, made us interested in the business and we bought it. The journey of owning and operating the grocery store has been a roller coaster ride, from navigating the financial aspects to keep it running, matching customer's demands & expectations. Through hard work and dedication, I have managed to overcome obstacles and the business is now thriving. The store still has many challenges but I am trying my best to manage as efficient as I can and keep customers happy. My vision is to expand the store into a full-fledged supermarket, and I am optimistic about achieving this goal in the near future.
